Foundations Level 1 is the first class for non-actors or people very new to voice over.
Beyond a general overview of opportunities and the "business" of voice over, this class provides a strong foundation in how to give a genuine, truthful performance via The Kalmenson Method, applied to a rigorous workout, with recorded critiques and performance.
This Voice Over for Actors Level 1 is a class for working actors only (with established on-camera or theatrical careers),
who are seeking a parallel revenue stream and acting craft alongside their established acting careers.
This class provides the actor with The Kalmenson Method for Voice Acting, which serves as a bridge between the actor’s truth and the truth of any given script.
These efficient copy analysis principles are applied to a rigorous workout using The Kalmenson Method.
Students also gain a definition of their own voice over "signature" aka brand, which is the blueprint for their future VO demo.
And the “business of the business” is addressed.
You must be signed with a Voice Over Agent, have an established career in Voice Over, and have a Commercial Voice Over Demo.
The Focus of this class is mastering self-direction.
This class provides the working voice over actor with refinements.
Curriculum includes The Kalmenson Method for Voice Acting, rigorous workouts (monologue/dialogue), expansion of VO signature, exposure to and analysis of all current trends, and growth beyond your current comfort zone.
Via The Kalmenson Method, study all aspects of animation through monologue, dialogue, improvisation, and group performance.
Create, develop, and sustain animation characters based on truths, emotions, and actions.
- Create a “character inventory list” for your demo and for future audition reference.
- Gain confidence.
- Study current animation casting trends, address marketing and self-promotion.
- Gain insight on where to go from here in the world of animation.
